it feels good to be producing pictures. whether other people like them or not, as long as im happy with them. it feels good to be shooting what i want to shoot. not what other people want to see. im soo tired from studying for my astronomy midterm yesterday...but i still feel like just going out there and shooting..today is the first day its starting to feel more like fall..when we came out of class, there was thunder and a little bit of rain! the sky looks soo beautiful! the colors of the sunrise and the sunshine hitting the clouds. ahhh, i just had to share that.


getting closer to my goal of finishing up at this horrid school. cant wait to REALLY focus on photography and just take photo classes and do interns and stuff..im sooo ready to start working, right after i learn the most i can about photography.

i wanna go home and creep into my warm bed and just....sleep.


p.s. Brandon Boyd's "ectoplasm" exhibit at Mr. Musichead was fantastic!! to see them up close, and really observe them and kinda almost figure out how he made it, just by looking at the brush strokes, or how the paint was drippin from the top of the canvas...i was soo happy =]

i really feel like shooting alot right now...i wish i could take a break from life and just concentrate on shooting shooting and shooting! this summer i think ive improved in alot of aspects.i also feel alot more motivated to get my lazy ass working and just shoot what i feel like shooting. i havent really felt inspired in a while, but i came across this photographer named Melanie Pullen...you guys should check her out..i love her work! its such a great concept, simple, anyone could have thought it up, but few have actually pulled it off...so check her website out, and if you live in cali, or near l.a, go check her exhibit out at the ACE Gallery.

ive decided that next year, im going to finish up school in.....NEW YORK! im super excited to move over there and start a new life, meet new people, learn new things, and most importantly..shoot different subjects! the desert can get a bit repetitive...and i really need more inspiration than a tumbleweed and a cactus. even l.a is alot more inspirational than where im living at right now..thats another reason why ive been shooting more often..i really want to present a good portfolio.

well, i think thats it for now...i hope this productivity doesnt wear off....EVER! i really like feeling productive and creative.

i finally got my polaroid camera..i went looking for one at a thrift store, and i found a 1200 one, but i wasnt sure if it worked..then it turned out that i couldnt find film for it..so i gave up on that one, and i went on ebay and bought a 600..i knew i would find film for that at walmart, so i went to walgreens, and i found 1200 film...now i have two polaroids.. ive just been into vintage photography for a while..the colors and style. i need to focus on my portfolio.


its time to stack up on film.


i guess i better start getting ready...im gonna go see Hot Hot Heat at the Roxy tonight..

hello everyone..
im new to this, so im still getting use to it, but ill be adding more pictures soon.right now im just in a shooting mood.dont you just love those moods? where all you feel like doing is going out there and shooting what you feel and see?sometimes i just want to drop everything and focus on my photography. well im in that mood right now. i just bought a polaroid camera from ebay, im so excited!ugh, im so sad that their going out of business...so im trying to stock up on film while i can. as you can probably tell, i prefer old school film photography, and being in the darkroom is what gives me a thrill. and for some reason im attracted to black and white alot more. my dad once told me that i was going back in time in terms of technology, because of the polaroid camera, and an interest in buying a record player, but i dont mind..im just alot more interested in things of the past that were simple, than all these fancy things we have going on right now. i mean i dont mind photoshop, but i really, REALLY dont want to spend hours fixing a photo on it..so im in and out of that as quickly as possible.
